We plan to be on the COB Sunday, Jan. 4. Weather's supposed to be nice, hoping the beach, the fishing and the park rangers are nice too. Anyone going out
there?

We have our next vacation trip to the Island the 4th week of June. Looking forward to some R & R on the beach.

We plan to be on the Island 02/12 thru 16th. We will be north of the county line some of the time and perhaps on Boca Chica if the weather is really good.
If you see a yellow Jeep say hello, company is welcome from those who share our interest of fishing and relaxing on the beach. We enjoy the beach and look
forward to the warmer weather.

We are committed to leaving for SPI on the 11th. If the weather won't co-operate, we'll just spend more time at Garcia's in Matamoros or Arturo's in Progresso. Hope to see you all. |

Didn't know you frequented Nuevo Progreso! That's our favorite border town for meds and booze! Matamoros and Reynosa are too busy and Laredo burned us
last time we went. Try El Senoral Restaurant and Bar, it's our favorite any time of year. It's about four blocks in on your left. The front is a
pharmacy and liquor store (there are accordians for sale in the front window), the middle has some great quality curios and the back is the bar and restaurant.
Great drinks & food, low prices and the service can't be beat. There's a live three piece band just about every time we stop in. We keep
threatening to check-in at the hotel upstairs but haven't done it yet. Anyway hope everything goes your way at the beach, wish we could join you, and we
will one of these days!

The weather was decent feb 12 thru 14, the 15th and 16th had way less than good beach weather. Over all it was a good trip. We enjoyed the sun, fished and
spent a couple days in Progresso. Good trip, should be back after spring break. Hope to meet others that trip. Have a great day.

No issues. However, we never have issues with them. I can see that they may recieve some complaints and if they (law enforcement) recieve citizen omplainsts
they are obligated to address those complaints. The reason I say I can understand is as we were traveling south Saturday afternoon, perhaps 8 miles north of
access road #6, we passed this guy standing near his older white 4 dr vehicle, which was parked maybe 30 feet from the water, and he is masturbating, so all
passer-bys may enjoy the view. That I could see causing a problem for everyone else who is not geared up in that manner, and want to simply enjoy the beach at
its best. Particularly if the people passing have children with them. That I believe is the cause of some of LE's problem's with the rest of us. Let
me clarify, I am not saying any noteable percentage of beach goers do that, but this one or two people create an issue and a problem for the rest of us.

A bad dude like that will mess things up for those who are polite. He is probably one of the gawkers that has harassed us before. I'd like to offer him a
nice hot cup of coffee but I'm fumble fingered and would probably spill it on him anyway!

You are correct in the fact this character should be arrested. However, the best case would be if law enforcement witnesses the incident. My cell dosen't
work as far North as we were, and it was one of those days LE is no where around. I do believe if he isn't caught on the beach, someone else will catch
him doing the same thing else where. I seriously doubt this is his first venture into that behavior.
