We just finished 9 days on the COB, nude everyday with nothing but waves from the Park Rangers - until Sunday 9-28-08...
A new ranger showed up hassling everyone, including an 80 yr old nude couple ( he wrote them a citation but relented when the old woman started crying) and a clothed fisherman. The tin badged bandito actually stopped and asked the fisherman "what are you doing here?".
He first showed up at 10AM on his way to the jetty, then approx 12:30PM on the way back. At 4:30PM as we were leaving we saw him heading back up the beach.
He stopped at every vehicle we could see.
As soon as Barney drove off, everyone up and down the beach dropped their clothes.
I believe one of the people with us was "connected" and was going to call and complain about the harassment.
So keep your eyes open and your clothes nearby.

What a joke. Too bad some of the more experienced police have not
taught this character discretion and good judgement are very important segments of enforcing the law.
