I grew up in South Texas and going to the beach meant going to Boca Chica cause the causeway to Padre wasn't built yet and when it opened it was a toll bridge. Back in that time it was pretty crowded on weekends and all summer but once the causeway toll was dropped Boca was forgotten by the masses. Now it's mainly bird watchers and fishermen that go there. I will check it out later this month when I go see my mother 40 miles from there. I will definitely be nude on the beach and...

The only law enforcement I have ever seen on Boca Chica Beach was Border Patrol and if you are as white as I am they don't care about you at all.

To get there take 48 from Port Isabel to FM 511, here you go south to Hwy 4, here go east to the end of the road. You are then at Boca Chica. We go there every time we get down to SPI. Surf fishing, Catching the Sun, or whatever to relax is great. Very seldom see anyone else. Usually just Border Patrol, Homeland Security, or whatever they are now. It is very remote. We have never had any problems.

Does anyone ever go south to Bocca Chica Beach. I understand that nobody cares what you do down there. Anybody have any experience to share?
